I just loved it. All action but reasonable story plot.

Actually it's the most incerdibly fast passed movie I have ever seen. Rain the star in the movie did an excellent job. Sho Kosugi who played the master of the ninja clan also did a excellent job. I've seen/own a few of his movies. All around it's the best movie I have ever seen. I can't wait to own it when it comes to dvd.

Decent action flick with an okay but slim story. The ninjas are about as subtle as bricks and attack in hordes but it was fun. Certainly one of the most bloody movies I have seen, even more than Rambo.

It is really enjoyable to just watch some violence once in awhile. The story line really wasn't that bad. I mean too say, it could have been A LOT worse, and I didnt find myself irritated at any point from crappy acting, so I got what I paid for. Yay violence.

What a stupid movie. Where do I begin? First of let me say how I cannot believe this movie has earned a rating of 8/10. Just goes to show the state of society today and its insatiable hunger for mindless death and violence. Ill list some of the major flaws of this "movie" :-these are supposed to be superhuman ninjas who can teleport and turn into shadows? So how the hell on earth do "normal" civilians manage to sneak up on these ninjas from behind and foil their plans? Like when mika brings raizo to see that other agent guy, only to be caught by 40 cops wielding pistols and rifles that emerged from the darkness. I thought this guy was a superhuman ninja. Or how about at the end when mika somehow manages to sneak up behind the ultra boos shogun master ninja and she shoots him in the back... yeah I'm sure that could ever happen. -These ninjas arent normal ninjas. They can "smell" you from 20 Miles away. The solution? Well thats easy, smoke a cigarette. HAHA I laughed my ass off at this one. Oh yeah, that brings me to my last point: You can smell people from 30kms away but you cant smell 40 SWAT officers hiding in the darkness? What kinda ninja are you? Stupid. -the main character Raizo, or whatever stupid "ninja" moniker it is, was trained just like all the other ninjas, but somehow hes able to take on 25 of them at once and kill them all. There are countless other flaws but I dont care enough to go into them. I cant recall how many times I laughed my ass off watching this movie. I dont know maybe it was meant to be a comedy. Go watch "Shogun Assasin" if youre in the mood for a real badass ninja classic.

Ninja assassin is exactly what the title says. There is no content to this film, it's exactly what you'd expect: lots of blood, cheap theatrics, lots more blood, bad acting. But if you're in the mood for something like that, then you'll enjoy.

Much better than I actually anticipated. Theres a lot of over the top CGI effects and surreal fights, but hey this is a brain candy flick. The gore was overwhelming at times but in an almost comedic sense. It reminded me of Sin City violence wise some times. If you ever plan on seeing this, do yourself a favor and see it in the theatre unless you have a $25,000 home theatre sound system or you will loose 1/2 of the treasure in the sound effects of this movie.

THIS MOVIE WAS GREAT!!! At first, I thought it would be boring, but as the time passed, I fall in to the movie. Rain (the actor)'s action was so so great!!! If anyone interested with the action movie, YOU MUST SEE THIS. Nice story, nice action.

I thought this movie was great. Very bloody... but this was expected. Hence the title "Ninja Assassin". If it was anything less than blood and lots of gore, it would not they would not have been Assassin. I thought it was a great storyline explaining how the main character was trained to be an assassin. For this kind of movie... I would not be expecting too much talking... I wanted to see great fight scenes... and it was delivered big time. Fabulous!!

Great fighting sequences. Full of action. They did a great job of highlighting the fighting scenes in a mostly night time setting. They also didn't get too carried away with super-ninja powers like most American filming did in the 80's.

It was "okay", at best. It was something to do. Lots of bad CGI blood, acting: sub-par, story: decent. The last half hour started to get boring; fight 20 ninjas, go into the next room and fight 20 more, repeat 2 or 3 times, fight "boss". You know how this movie ends after the first 20 minutes.

I think many of the ratings for this movie are too high, for what it was it was a decent movie worth checking out, but probably better for a rental... don't go in with high expectations and you shouldn't be disappointed. There is a lot of blood but I'm not sure what else would be expected for a ninja movie, I only wish there were more martial arts as opposed to simply knife-throwing.

If you are not in the mood for or don't like action or blood don't see this flick. If you are ready to be excited and want to feel the thrill of an action packed fast paced great fighting movie go see this killer Ninja flick. I will see it again. And most likly buy it once it is for sale. Any one who has written a bad review about this show probably wanted to go see a love romance but got talked into this show or has heart problems. Anyone who is in the mood for fighting and great martial arts will like this show. If you dont then in my opinion you know nothing about matial arts and should have gone to chapters and read a cook book or somthing. Point being GO SEE THIS MOVIE and expect blood, fighting, martial arts and it actually has a good story line and good acting considering there are no well know or known actors/ess. The movie has Ninjas so if you expected somthing else then you probably had trouble passing high school to. Ninja Assassin was a great flick.

The movie was great, alot of intense action scenes and it even has a plot which was a refreshing change. If you like alot of gory violent action but also with a good plot then you should definitely watch this movie. Only thing is it sometimes loses track with the plot in favor of mindless action and gore lol.

A japanamation made real... Lots of blood and ninja stars... however it is really cheesy! The love story is annoying. On the other hand the action scnenes are really fun to watch. I give it 6 ninja stars out of 10!

Film d'action superbe, qui a la saveur mythique du ninja comme on le souhaite. Sanglant à la Kill Bill, il est déconseillé aux coeurs sensibles. Le film est souvent sombre mais ça fait partie de la façon d'être des ninjas. On voit suffisamment bien tout de même. Scène à couper le souffle à plusieurs reprises. Un divertissement assuré pour les amateurs de batailles tranchantes.

Lots of fun action, not to mention gore and amputations... very much in the tradition of Asian martial arts fantasy movies. Barely enough story to hang the action on, and a better story would have improved it a lot. Remember Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon? That one made the grade where this one doesn't. Even Tarantino did better with Vol 1 of Kill Bill. Still, this is a great-looking movie, with lots of fun touches and great moments. If you don't expect too much, it's very enjoyable.

Ok so for starters if you dont like gore dont watch it. Its really dissapointing when people go to a movie such as ninja assasin or inlorius basturds and then complain about gore. They should expect the gore and instead of complaining try to realize that gore in movies is an artform. And this was the mona lisa of gore. Ok on to the next part. The action is great. Lots of special effects lots of ninjas. Yes there was a lot of CG but thats the way movies are made today. The martial arts where pretty good but there wasnt enough specific focus on nijutsu (the ninja martial art) but for action this was a great movie. Now the plot. The plot is kinda sketchy with very little explanation at some parts which for some unobservant people make it hard to follow. But you need to understand that A, this as an ACTION movie, not a drama. And B, this is a ninja movie. And do you really expect a ninja to explain why hes killing you. No I didnt think so. Oh and about the conplaint about families walking out of the film with crying kids. Thats their fault for letting them go to rated R movies. The acting. What little acting was actually necessary was done semi-good. But once again this is an action movie not a drama. Oh and it does have a twist just some people are so dumb they don't notice. So my final rating is an 8. it was an amazing action movie but it did need a little more focus on the storyline to pull it together. One of the few action movies that does manage to have a very in depth plot is the matrix, if you are that desperate for a movie with the best of both worlds go rent that. BTW ninjas rule... everything.

"Not Good" but not bad either. It had alot of action lot's of blood and super unrealistic. For some reason our star "Rain" who trained along everyone else seems to have SUPER skills able to kill 20 or 30 of his peers in every fight. BAD acting but it still does has it's charm... enter at your own risk!

Excessive violence to the point where you cannot even follow the action sequences which also contain stylized gore and special effects for the ninjas. Kind of not the best HK style action film I have ever seen. I recommend seeing Dragon Heat over this one. I got bored with it and left half way through and felt better for that. There is definitely a trend of genre exploitation flicks that say they are action or horror but they seem just to be exploiting the idea of the genre type in terms of how they are adbertised but they are not really doing the job they say they will. Ho hum.

The sort of movie which is thouroughly enjoyable if you just lower your expectations. I went expecting an ultra-violent action packed ninja movie with little else too it and that's what I got. The acting isn't bad. The main plot is ambitious, but almost completely ignored compared to the much less interesting sub-plot between the two main characters. The movie also has an overly serious tone that only works when helping us understand the hardships the ninja's must endure. Surprisingly, there actually is one or two genuinely touching moments. The movie would have worked much better if it were more humurous and campy (like Iron Monkey or Kung Fu Hustle) and elaborated more on one of its plots rather than trying to focus on both, resulting in them seeming rushed.

Great movie even the acting of some actor/actress were poor. I've seen Rain performing some great break dance, it was what I was expected from him in this movie, GREAT performance! But hey, I didn't know that he can speak English! =)
