Porter Stoddard (Warren Beatty), a well-known New York architect, hits a mid-life crisis, where twists and turns lead to myriad missteps - some with his wife Ellie (Diane Keaton), others with longtime friends Mona (Goldie Hawn) and her husband Griffin (Garry Shandling).
